FACILITIES
Our rooms are specially designed to fit the production of integrated circuits. Our rooms are divided into two areas which are 100-cleanliness level area which is the process area, and 10,000-cleanliness level area which is the service area. Both structure of the areas and all the important instruments in the areas have been deliberately designed with the concerns for the efficiency of the production process. In addition, we also carefully inspected the construction of the rooms to comply with all the international standards for the integrated circuit manufacturing industry of many countries around the world. Therefore, our rooms are controllable in terms of validity of cleanliness, temperature, humidity, and other environs for the production of integrated circuits with high quality. The temperature is fixed at 22 Celsius degrees whilst the relative Humidity (rH) level is about 45 percent.
In addition, we also have the quality control of outside air that comes into the rooms with the Make up Air Unit (MAU) system which consists of three filters to prevent dust and other contaminating things from getting into the rooms. We also install the ULPA Filter which is capable of filtering 0.12 micron dust with the reliability level of 99.9999 percent. Thus, you can be absolutely confident of the efficiency of our integrated circuits.
2. Soft and Ultra-Deionized Water Supply System
The water that is used in the production process of integrated circuits must have a high level of purity and a low level of Ion in the mean time in order to prevent the occurrence of the short circuit of the track in an integrated circuit. Thus, we are very concerned about the water supply system. In the center, there are two water supply systems, which are:
- Pre-Treatment which is the primary system to clean the water by turning normal water into soft water by eliminating all suspended solids (SS), turbidity, dreg, dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and Chlorine, as well as all kinds of Ions; and
- Ultra Deionized (UDI) Water which is the system that purifies the soft water from the former process by eliminating all Ions which are the leftover from the former process and killing all micro-organisms that come with the water in order to get the water with a high level of purity that complies with the standards for integrated circuit manufacture. Normally, our center can generate pure water or the Ultra Deionized (UDI) Water in the amount of 3.5 cubic meters per day with the resistance level that is not lower than 18 mega Ohm centimeters.
The production process of integrated circuits need two kinds of gases which are process gases, i.e., SiH4, NH3, PH3, SiH2CI2, CI2, BCI3, HBr, BF3, AsH3, He, Ar, CF4, CHF3 and SF6 and non-process ones which are used for operating machines or supportive systems, i.e., O2, N2, H2 and LPG
Our gas supply system has been designed to completely comply with the standards for installment and safety such as the design for gas containing room, detective and alarming to operators, safety valve system that will stop supplying gas directly the leak of the gas is detected, fire distinguishing with CO2, Exhaust system, etc
Compressed Dry Air is another factor important to the production process of integrated circuits by dint of many reasons such as for controlling the function of machines (such as those in pneumatics system) or for controlling the open and close of valves. Compressed Dry Air must contain no dust, contamination, humidity, and oil vapour. The temperature must also be kept appropriate to each kind of use.
Cooling water System generates cool water by using the principle of heat ventilation with air. Cool water will be divided into two batches. The first batch of water will be transferred to the machines that work in production process in the clean rooms. The other batch of water will be used with the tools and instruments of the Process Vacuum and the Compressed Dry Air systems for cooling the systems during their operations. This batch of water will also be supplied to the tools and instruments of the DI Water system.
Apart from the efficiency of our products that we have always especially been concerned about, environment is another aspect that we haves always been concerned about. Therefore, we concentrate on all steps of the exhaust system. As for the exhaustion from all machines in the clean rooms, we divide our treatments into four categories by the types of the exhaustions:
- Acid Exhaust System is the system that treats and eliminates the vapour of corrosive substances such as the vapours of acid or base from the production process of integrated circuits.
- Organic Exhaust System is the system that treats and eliminates the vapour of solvents such as Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)
- General Exhaust System includes the exhaust systems for premises or industrial plants which facilitate the flow and ventilation of the air in the areas, and gets rid of exhaustion. This system is important for any room that retains smell, smoke, or poisonous vapours which can be very harmful when being accumulated in the operators bodies.
- Stripping Unit System is the system that treats the gas that is caused from the production process by limiting the gas to have compositions that do not exceed that value that is set by the environmental standards before releasing the gas into the atmosphere. This is the second treatment after the Point of Use Scrubber which is the first step of the treatment for exhaustion emitted from engines and machines.
7. Wastewater Treatment System
Apart from the exhaust system, we also have wastewater treatment system. The wastewater that comes out from the production process will be kept in containers before being treated with a treatment appropriate to the kind of wastewater. The dreg which is the residue of the treatment will be filtered by the Pressed Filter which turns it into non-toxic solid. Wastewater from the production process can be divided into four types:
- HF Wastewater is the wastewater that consists of Hydrofluoric acid in the amount prescribed by the standard.
- Acid Alkaline Wastewater is the wastewater that consists of acid or base substances in the amount prescribed by the standard.
- Organic Wastewater is the wastewater that consists of organic substances in the amount prescribed by the standard.
- UDI Wastewater is the cleanest wastewater of the four types that consists of contamination in the amount prescribed by the standard.
You can be confident of the productivity and the efficiency of our operations that go smoothly on the set schedules because we are always be well prepared with substitute electrical system in case of a black out. Our electrical system consists of a 135 kVA generator which generates alternating current to be supplied to the emergent lights and the air ventilation systems. This system also works for certain sections of the clean rooms in the case where the electrical system in the rooms is temporarily out of order. Un-interrupting Power Supply (UPS) will supply load in order to stabilize the voltage in normal circumstances and to prevent the stoppage of the operations of electric appliances when the electrical system becomes out of order.
9. Building Automation and Security System
This system controls and inspects the operations of other systems which work continuously, including the security systems in the building such as Gas Detector. In addition, we also installed the tools that control and inspect all the systems in more than 1,300 positions for controlling the operations of all systems and recording all important data for the sakes of security and safety in the highest level.
